Noah and the Whale

Last night I took Brianna to the Noah and the Whale concert at the El Rey Theatre, which keep in mind was the most beautiful venue I've ever been too. Red carpet, black and white tile, a huge red velvet floor, chandeliers hanging everywhere, and all around really classy folk (with a small exception of the douchy guys standing behind it)

It was amazing.

At the end, we got cute free posters and I bought the CD which has been on repeat. I have to say, though, they are so much better live.

I fell in love with the violin and Brianna fell in love with Tom (left). Tom just happens to play the violin.

cupcakez

A couple weeks back I had this opportunity to take photos for the Divine at the Roxy...but I was scheduled to work at Skateland, and I was so frustrated because NO BODY could switch or cover my shift . I was so depressed, that weekend was full of  ups and downs/mixed emotions.

Skateland called me that night and told me I had it off, and I told them I would bring in cupcakes as a token of my appreciation hahah :)

Sooo...me and Brianna spent the day making, mixing, preparing, decorating these cupcakes.

It was a lot of fun.

free people contest

I remember when Brianna and I did our very first photoshoot in 11th grade, and her telling me that free people was her favorite store ever but it was just so expensive, but whenever she got money she would spend it there. I didn't even really know what free people was, except my friend Jennas sister worked there and I had been in once or twice.

Now Brianna works at free people, ironically.

These photos came about because all of the free people stores have photography competitions every month of the clothes that they sell. So her boss asked us kindly if we would do a photoshoot, and we did! I was so excited to do this because I have always wanted to shoot for the Urban catalog...and this is the next step in the right direction.
